Architectural lighting & smart controls
About Moorgen
Moorgen (Germany) develops architectural lighting and smart controls — switches, keypads and smart-home systems finished to a jewellery standard. Terra Nova consults on lighting schemes and control integration for villas, hotels and premium offices.
The catalogue splits into four groups: Smart System (touch switches, dimmer knobs, LCD panels, remotes), Smart Light (table, floor, pendant and architectural lighting), Smart Sensor, and smart door locks. Moorgen states over 1,200 products running on its own AI and cloud platform, controlled from iOS and Android apps.
Most panel series are designed with international architects and designers — Zaha Hadid Architects, Philippe Starck, Kengo Kuma, Neri & Hu, Yabu & Pushelberg, Chi Wing Lo, Steve Leung. Each series has its own material language and proportions, so choosing a panel is a design decision, not just a question of how many buttons.
Decorative and architectural fixtures run on the same control layer, with brightness and colour temperature set from one interface. The door locks use fingerprint and finger-vein sensing. Moorgen products have won Red Dot, iF Design, IDEA and Japan's GOOD DESIGN awards.
